Description du concert
An epic night of brain-melting shoegaze with Shaki Tavi, Split Moon and Ivy Hallow. Split Moon - Split Moon delivers a majestic storm of blissed-out space rock and driving shoegaze on their latest release Gold-Diggers Live Session produced by Dave Trumfio (Soft Kill, Built to Spill, Mekons). The band was formed by singer/guitarist Mark Starr, veteran of straight-edge pioneers Insight and Estrus Records garage punks The Gimmicks. They released the Nothing Seems Real EP (as LEAF) and the album Slow Satellite, which Jack Rabid of Big Takeover called “a howling, sooty-thick, blasting, mesmeric shoegaze with space rock/psych suggestions.” Split Moon is completing the final mix of their new album. Shaki Tavi - Self-described as “the loudest band in Los Angeles,” Shaki Tavi released their excellent self-titled album on Mutation Records in 2022. Ivy Hallow - Expect an enchanting web of dreamy, saturated soundscapes and heavenly hooks from mysterious newcomers Ivy Hallow. $10 - 8pm - all ages - DM for address.

Biographie de Split Moon

Split Moon delivers a majestic storm of blissed-out space rock and driving shoegaze on their latest release Gold-Diggers Live Session. Produced by Dave Trumfio (Soft Kill, Built to Spill, Mekons), the performance was originally broadcast as a live stream before being released as a live album on Ghost Tower Records.

The band was formed by singer/guitarist Mark Starr, veteran of SLC straight-edge pioneers Insight and Estrus Records garage punks The Gimmicks. They released the Nothing Seems Real EP (as LEAF) and the album Slow Satellite, which Jack Rabid of Big Takeover called “a howling, sooty-thick, blasting, mesmeric shoegaze with space rock/psych suggestions.” Split Moon is completing the final mix of their new album, which finds the band expanding their sound to include Stooges/MC5 fuzz rock, kosmiche/krautrock rhythms, and cosmic Americana.
