Ashes & Fire

Ashes & Fire invites you on a journey from the bushes of America through the grand productions of the 90’s pop/rock scene and into a modern Scandinavian branch of country music. The band has the sound of a 60’s country scene thrown into the present, where beautiful harmonies are combined with guitars and classic country instruments like pedal steel and accordion, but with a modern twist. The productions are grand and the sound is more-is-more, in the best of ways. The ones guiding you through the fates of Bob Dylan-esc characters and emotional melodies are Erik Petterson Sjöqvist and Liza Morgansdotter from Gothenburg, Sweden. A duo that’s found a common ground in their love for the country tradition and has a passion for putting the Gothenburg Americana twist on top of it.
