Biographie de Brea Lawrenson
Brea was actually discovered several times (she wandered off frequently) as a singer first, by her grandmother (the tipsy one) who would vacuum the house to drown her out; then by her music teachers, who were amazed by Brea's ability to sing above even the loudest Shop-vac. Brea's mom eventually hooked up with this guy who was willing to drive Brea all over the place so Mom didn't have to drive all over hell's half acre any more. Turns out Dave was into Moonshine too so it worked out well for everybody.
Brea, then, met up with another bunch of "moonshiners" (musicians this time) who helped her write some more drink'n songs and made some videos and stuff. THE END
Ottawa Valley's Brea Lawrenson captures emotions and stories in her music that have put her on the charts several times in the last five years. Her success is further punctuated with appearances at fairs and festivals (Ottawa Bluesfest, Boots & Hearts, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Havelock Country Jamboree and Kemptville Live Music Festival) where she has shared stages with many well established artists, opening for Meghan Patrick, Tom Cochrane, Tebey, The Washboard Union, The Road Hammers, Ronnie Prophet, Brett Kissel and many more. Brea has a stellar festival show that mixes old with new and will have you dancing in the aisles.
Teaming up with Bill Miller at Sharp 9 Music and his award winning producers Pete Lesperance and Jeff Dalziel in 2019, Brea continues to rack up some impressive feats while retaining her status as an independent artist. With her continued success, she’s leading the charge for indie artists in Canadian Country Music today. Stay tuned for another great collaboration with this team in early 2020.
