Carl Dixon

Carl Dixon is a man of titanium, rock and soul. His career kicked off with Coney Hatch opening for Iron Maiden and Judas Priest's North American tours and signing his first international record deal at 21. Carl has an extensive solo song catalogue featured in film and TV. He played in April Wine and joined The Guess Who as lead singer for 8 years in total after Burton Cummings left the band. Carl is the unlikely survivor of a horrific car accident. His recovery and redefining of his life has opened new doors as an inspirational keynote speaker. Carl's voice has been described by CBC as "one of Canada's stellar rock voices". He joined band mates Coney Hatch (Andy Curran, Dave Ketchum and now Sean Kelly) for a bunch of shows in Europe and Canada. They tour and play whenever schedules line up -4 decades since their first hit song.. Their recent tours include with British Lion, Kim Mitchell, playing Sweden Rock Festival and live shows around Toronto and NY. Carl has recorded six solo albums, featured in April Wine's live album, The Guess Who's Live in Las Vegas DVD and 9 albums with Coney Hatch. Carl is a published author of the book "Strange Way To Live" and shares his story and music in his solo theatre shows and keynote speaker events.
