The Seldom Scene

After a 45 year hiatus attending a live performance of The Seldom Scene, I finally heard them live again at the Lyric Theatre in Blacksburg. The only other time I saw them perform was in 1979 at The Birchmere Restaurant. Their performance at the Lyric did not disappoint. The band's clarity was awesome. While the performers are all different, and I miss that high lonesome sound of John Duffey, I like the new band as well. I stream their music and consider them my favorite bluegrass band! The CD I purchased will be used to pound their music in my pickup truck, which is the only place I have a CD player, preferring to stream music on my phone, iPad, or desktop. I will probably wear the CD out in a few years! Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Please let the band know how much I enjoyed seeing them live again after all those years.
