A Celebration of the Music of Neil Diamond– Starring Matt Vee, nephew of 60’s Pop-Star Bobby Vee – With songs like Cracklin’ Rosie, Song Sung Blue, America, Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show and Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond sold over 130 million records worldwide, and produced musical hits spanning five decades.
We are saying what HE said,” laughs Matt Vee referring to the one and only Neil Diamond. Matt along with cousins Jeff and Tommy Vee, both founders of The Killer Vees and sons of the legendary Bobby Vee, celebrate the music from a timeless catalog. As a Brill Building songwriter in the mid 60s, Neil Diamond penned songs recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Deep Purple and, of course, the Monkee’s classic, “I’m A Believer.”
“This is not a tribute show,” says Tommy Vee. “This is a celebration of an amazing musical icon, one we all love and respect. We have recruited an incredible group of singers and players and have gone back to the original records,” he explains, “It is all about the vocals and Matt nails it! It’s a Rockin’ show!”

Very good show,nice to see a family get together and make such great music,Matt Vee was spot on as Neil Diamond and his stories were very interesting in between the songs,the venue was very beautiful just a perfect night.

Biographie de Matt Vee
Nephew of legendary 60s pop-star Bobby Vee, Matt Vee, singer, guitarist, writer and recording artist, along with his cousins Jeff and Tommy Vee (sons of Bobby Vee) and wife Julie Velline tour the country performing as "The Killer Vees," in various musical configurations. Most notably is Matt's production "I Am, He Said"--A Celebration of Neil Diamond, which has played for hundreds of thousands nationwide.
Matt grew up within the legacy of a very musical family. Father Bill Velline and his younger brother Bobby formed “Bobby Vee & The Shadows” as a basement band in 1958. Buddy Holly’s untimely death on February 3, 1959, “The Day The Music Died” would catapult Bobby Vee into the international spotlight in early 1960. Bob Dylan, then known as “Elston Gunnn” briefly performed with Matt’s dad and uncle in those early days and recently quoted on-stage that “Bobby was the most meaningful person I've shared the stage with.”
This legacy has continued on with Matt and Bobby’s sons Jeff and Tommy Vee, and Matt’s wife Julie as “The Killer Vees!” You can catch Matt and the Vee brothers in many different touring acts. Just check the website for a show near you! www.MattVee.com
