It’s been 14 years since I last saw Green Day at Manchester Cricket ground and they were just as fantastic this time around. Both support acts Maid of Ace and Nothing but Thieves warmed the crowd up with their distinctly different sets and the atmosphere was already building.
Green Day were as ever fun, energetic and masters of the crowd. We were treated to some next level support for an unlucky attendee who had fallen and the songs were stopped to ensure that they were taken care of before things got going again. The weather was mixed however we also got a double rainbow thrown in for free during the aptly timed ‘welcome to paradise’ . Overall, the experience was fantastic. Green Day never cease to be value for money entertainment, long may they continue!
