Al Holliday and The East Side Rhythm Band

In een paar jaar tijd heeft Al Holliday zich omhoog weten te werken als een ras-entertainer in de Soul, R-&-B en Blues/Rock n Roll wereld. Een wervelwind die zijn weerga niet kent! Al en zijn East Side Rhythm Band komen uit St. Louis, en dat hoor je in alles terug. De Mississippi Soul stroomt door hun aderen, Al laat zn strot graag brullen en dat doet ie ook goed! Z'n rauwe stem doet veel mensen denken aan Randy Newman, Joe Cocker of Fats Domino, maar je hoort net zo goed Taj Mahal, Billy Preston, Leon Russell en Allen Toussaint terug in zijn muziek. Al weet alles perfect te combineren en doet gewoon lekker zn eigen ding, zoals we een aantal jaren geleden al zagen toen hij met The East Side Rythm Band voor het eerst in 't Beest stond. We waren allemaal bijzonder aangenaam verrast door de band die middenin november toch nog wat summer in the city wist te brengen. 's Kijken of ze dat deze keer in oktober ook kunnen! In a few years Al Holliday has worked his way up as a born entertainer in the Soul, R-&-B and Blues/Rock n Roll world. A whirlwind like no other! Al and his East Side Rhythm Band are from St. Louis, and you can hear that in everything. The Mississippi Soul flows through their veins, Al likes to roar his throat and it does it well! His raw voice reminds many people of Randy Newman, Joe Cocker or Fats Domino, but you can also hear Taj Mahal, Billy Preston, Leon Russell and Allen Toussaint in his music. Al knows how to combine everything perfectly and just does his own thing, as we saw a few years ago when he played 't Beest for the first time with The East Side Rythm Band. We were all very pleasantly surprised by the band that managed to bring some summer to the city in the middle of November. Let's see if they can do that this time in October!
