Billets, dates de tournée et concerts pour Anavantou
Description du concert
In 2013, four Brazilian musicians from Sergipe crossed the Atlantic to meet five Belgian musicians, with the simple desire to make music and share their cultures. The initial idea was to do a concert for friends on the occasion of the release of the film "A Pelada", directed by Damien Chemin and filmed in Aracaju (Bra), but finally this joint came to be a project called Anavantou. Concerts, annual tours, an album “Brincantes” (2017), well commented by the specialized media (F.Roots, Songlines), music videos, lots of road, meetings, friendships and beautiful stories to tell. In 2023 this meeting will be ten years old and to celebrate this moment, Anavantou announces a commemorative tour, after a period of seclusion due to the pandemic and the members' personal projects. The desire to be together again motivates the group, which also announces the release of an EP with new tracks and a clip. « We are very happy and excited to meet our dear audience again, who have celebrated so much with us at concerts over these 10 years and also to share news and new content during the year 2023 » Anavantouuu ! Anavantou’s music is inspired both by Brazilian Northeast forró rythms and Belgian surrealism, and turns out to be a surprising explosive and festive transatlantic cultural dialogue.

Biographie de Anavantou

Anavantou’s music is inspired both by Brazilian Northeast forró rythms and Belgian surrealism, and turns out to be a surprising explosive and festive transatlantic cultural dialogue. The musical collective Anavantou was formed in 2013 on the initiative of Belgian music producer Damien Chemin and Brazilian musician Dudu Prudente. Seeking a way to bring their cultures closer together through music, they proposed the meeting between the percussive group Membrana and the singer Nino Karvan both from the State of Sergipe in Brazil, and the Belgian instrumental group Turdus Philomelos. All nine artists already had in common a work focused on traditional sounds of their respective regions but always integrating the use of contemporary elements.
