Formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Default emerged as one of Canada's most successful
rock bands of the 2000s. The band's debut album, The Fallout, achieved multi-platinum status
in Canada and spawned the hit singles “Wasting My Time,” “Deny,” and “Slow Me Down.”
Throughout their career, Default has earned multiple JUNO Award nominations and won the
JUNO Award for Best New Group in 2002, charted numerous singles across North America,
toured internationally, and built a devoted fan base through their powerful live performances and
enduring catalogue of rock anthems. Fronted by Dallas Smith, one of Canada's successful
recording artists, Default remains a beloved fixture in Canadian rock, with music that continues
to resonate with fans more than two decades after its debut.

Chad Kroeger (Nickelback) initially discovered Default on a demo tape and took the band with him on tour. He aided the band anywhere he could from producing their first album "The Fallout"; to co-writing songs such as "Count On Me"
