Syd Matters signe son grand retour avec un nouvel album - le cinquième de sa discographie - attendu en septembre 2026 sur le label Créature (Fishbach, Chassol…).
Sur scène, accompagné de son groupe, Syd Matters est reconnu pour des concerts intenses, où les interprétations naviguent entre ampleur épique et délicatesse intimiste. Luxuriante et spectaculaire en live, sa musique ne perd jamais son centre de gravité et gagne même en profondeur, offrant une expérience à la fois immersive et profondément émotive.
En première partie, le groupe suisse Superweak présentera son projet la pop - électronique lo-fi qui mèle vulnérabilité lyrique et productions solaires et éclectiques. Le groupe est ancré dans l’indie et inspiré par des artistes comme Gorillaz, Glass Animals ou Tame Impala, ils y ajoutent leur touche de singer-songwriter.

Syd Matters is a French musician. His real name is Jonathan Morali, but Syd Matters is a pseudonym which comes from slight modification of two members of Pink Floyd : Syd Barrett and Roger Waters.
His first album, A Whisper and a Sigh was recorded during the summer of 2002. He won the cqfd prize in 2003, rewarding the best french revelation. After this album was released, he constructed a new four piece band. In April 2005 he released his second album Someday We will Foresee Obstacles. It is a mixture of folk and of melancholic pop, his music combines slow melodys with acoustic instruments, it does not however forget its roots of electronic music.
Perhaps one of his most popular American songs is "To All Of You" which was featured in the senior prom episode of the FOX teenage drama the O.C.
His third album, 'Ghost Days', has been released on January 18th.
