Sophie's Body

Sophie’s Body is an alternative rock band formed in Boston, MA in 2022. The band is led by Sophie McMinn, a vocalist who has as much background in opera music as she does in rock. Sophie is a student of Berklee College of Music, where she studies contemporary writing and production, while writing her own songs in tandem. Sophie and the rest of the band members, Dylan Hughes (drums), Harry Van Der Meer (bass) and Adam Hurt (guitar) (formerly James Fall) met at Berklee and became fast friends before deciding to join forces. The band combines hard-hitting, catchy rock riffs with intensely emotional lyrics. The band has played to hundreds of people in their local city of Boston, as well as the West Coast stops on their 2023 summer tour. With influences such as Deftones, Flyleaf, and Fiona Apple, fans of the 2000’s alternative sound are bound to become instant fans of Boston’s newest rock act.
