Biographie de Kim Carnie
Award-winning Gaelic singer and composer Kim Carnie embarks on a UK tour this September to celebrate the release of her second solo album, A' Chailleach.
Renowned for her “velvet-voiced authority” (The Scotsman), Carnie blends traditional Gaelic roots with cinematic, contemporary soundscapes. Charged with a true love for cultural collaboration, Kim has worked with a long list of celebrated artists and ensembles across the Scottish and world folk scenes, from the prestigious Transatlantic Sessions to Griot Royalty Trio da Kali. She is the lead singer of the award-winning band Mànran and a founding member of the contemporary and experimental folk ensemble Staran. Her voice has reached global audiences on stages as well as through film and television, featuring in soundtracks including Netflix’s Outlaw King and Black Mirror.
