Based out of Minneapolis, Mikel Wright & The Wrongs brings some of the collective best of what Midwest has to offer. Mikel broke fast onto his local music scene in 2007 and has since earned a respected national reputation for cultivating ridiculous bands and unforgettable nights of music. Mikel's vision has been embraced by some of the best players in The Twin Cities. Due to his no nonsense attitude and natural ability to connect with audiences, players such as American Idol finalist Reed Grimm and The Voice’s star Nicholas David, as well as the very best from a city full of top notch musicians have chosen to join Mikel on the tour stage. Being huge fans of bands like String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee and Lettuce, their music is rooted in funk but transcends many genres with every set.
