Description du concert
Paul Grabowsky: piano
Michelle Nicolle: voice
When Michelle Nicolle and I began working on a collaboration we discovered a shared love for the poignant, the unrequited, the lonely and anguished moments that are often almost disguised by their first appearances as popular songs. We thought it worth mining
This deep vein of material for a concert of mainly ballads, reinterpreted to reveal their inner poetry.
It goes without saying that Michelle is one of our greatest interpreters of the jazz canon, but as her recent Bach project wonderfully demonstrates, she is so much more than that. We are looking forward to debuting Songs of Love and Loss at beautiful Beleura. - Paul Grabowsky
