Puerto Rican-born guitar wizard José Feliciano has earned nine Grammy awards and over 45 gold and platinum records, while establishing his place in history as one of the first Spanish-language artists to find an audience within the English music market. With hits like “Poquita Fe” and “Usted,” Feliciano makes bolero standards sound fresh and new with his distinctive acoustic guitar style that combines the traditional with jazz and American rock influences. Boyle Heights’ Los Carmelos open the night, paying homage to classic Mexican trios Tres Ases and Los Tres Caballeros, who combined bolero with a touch of jazz in the 1940s and ’50s.

Biographie de José Feliciano
José Feliciano (born September 10, 1945 in Lares, Puerto Rico) is a singer and guitarist, who is highly successful in both the Spanish and English music markets. He is immediately known for writing and performing his perennial Christmas Classic, "Feliz Navidad," and for being the first Latin artist who'd crossed over to that market after already having gained global popularity with his English music career. He's acclaimed by critics everywhere as 'the world's greatest living guitarist.'
