Performing Live: HOODS BRICK BY BRICK STEP UP Hoods are hardcore legends. Formed in Sacramento in 1994 by Mikey Hood, the band became as well known for their explosive live shows as for their beatdown style hardcore. Switching labels and changing members has done nothing to tame the intensity of the Hoods music and unforgettable performances. A Hoods show is a event, you don't just witness it: you experience it. Born out of Troy, NY's infamous hardcore scene in 2004, Brick by Brick have relentlessly cultivated their reputation as a hybrid hardcore and metal force. The addition of Ray Mazzola (from Full Blown Chaos) as the band's vocalist in 2014 cemented their place in hardcore history. Their music is an unforgettable metallic hardcore assault. Brick By Brick have given their lives to the hardcore scene and who won't take no for an answer. Instead they keep coming, unleashing crushing records and proving to fans that they are here to musically crack skulls. Formed in late 2008 Step Up is a welcomed return to the original sounds of old school New York Hardcore. Formed and founded by native New Yorker vocalist Joe HeadStomp who wanted to bring the sounds of the true roots of hardcore to a new generation. Joe brings passion and energy to the words he not only sings but lives, from his pulse pounding verses to the heartfelt traditional sing alongs.
