Description du concert
Bereits als Zweijähriger begann Manu Delagos musikalische Laufbahn, als er sich hinter sein erstes Schlagzeug setzte. Knapp 40 Jahre später hat er sich als Perkussionist, Produzent und Komponist weltweit einen Namen gemacht und schon mit Künstler*innen wie Björk, Ólafur Arnalds, Anoushka Shankar oder dem Cinematic Orchestra zusammengearbeitet. Für sein aktuelles Album Snow from yesterday hat er sich mit dem Vocal Trio Mad About Lemon und Clemens Rofner zu einem besonderen Quintett zusammengetan. Entstanden ist ein Mix mit Einflüssen aus Jazz, Ambient und Klassik, der mit ruhigen aber auch energetischen Sounds aufwartet und den der bekannteste Hang-Spieler der Welt zum ersten Mal auch bei uns präsentiert.

Manu Delago - Grammy nominee, composer, innovator and acclaimed percussionist has teamed up with vocal ensemble Mad About Lemon to craft a profound and distinct new album. Together they will perform Snow from Yesterday on a European tour.
The Austrian musician has regularly collaborated with various artists such as Björk, Anoushka Shankar, The Cinematic Orchestra, Olafur Arnalds and has appeared as a soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra, Metropole Orkest and many more.
Somewhere between Ambient Electronica and Neoclassical Music, Manu Delago's acoustic percussion instruments are melting with electronic beats and the sound of our environment. In addition, the astonishing live visuals are bringing the sound of water, fire, animals, locomotion, wind and other surroundings into the auditorium.
