Biographie de Malia Civetz

A childhood spent in Hawaii to school years in Las Vegas and then graduating from USC Thornton School of Music’s Popular Music program, this set Malia Civetz on the path to realizing her ambitions. Even before heading off to college her musical accomplishments included early highlights performing as a 'Star of Tomorrow' at New York’s Apollo Theater, having the privilege to sing for President Obama and performing in Barry Manilow’s show at Paris Las Vegas.
Shortly after graduating from USC, Malia signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music and linked up with powerhouse songwriters, Ross Golan and JKash. She signed to their newly created joint label, Friends With Pens, initially making waves with her independent single “Champagne Clouds.” Ryan Seacrest personally debuted the track on his KIIS FM On Air With Ryan Seacrest show and predicted, “You’re going to hear about Malia—a lot.” Taylor Swift championed it on her Apple Music and Spotify "Favorite Songs" playlists, with the track moving on to generate 20 million-plus streams. The follow-up, “Little Victories,” jumped past 3 million as she joined JoJo on the North American Leaks, Covers, and Mixtapes tour.
Malia made her major label debut on Warner Records in 2020 with her first EP, The Flip, featuring the hit radio single “Broke Boy”, the slinky Baby Tate collaboration “Love Thing,” and the sleek Alesso co-write “Disrespectful” garnering praise from Paper Magazine, Billboard, Flaunt, REVOLT and others. She unveiled her second EP, Heels In Hand, featuring “Partied Out”, singing honestly about love and life over tracks made for singalongs. Her work has amassed love from a variety of publications and has landed spots in major film, tv, and commercial productions. Malia continues to showcase her diverse musicality as a featured vocalist in Composer/Conductor Steve Hackman’s symphonic fusions allowing her to perform with symphonies in the US and all over the world.
Surpassing well over 150 million total streams as an artist, Malia continues to also write for a variety of other artists across an array of genres.
