Finalists for the 2023 Australian Folk Music Awards? Artist of the Year, Gusto Gusto are Australian dance floor favourites. Fronted by trumpet, clarinet and violin, Gusto Gusto play an eclectic mix of high energy instrumental funk, psych and world music.
In June/July 2024, Gusto Gusto bring their dance moves to the UK for the first time with performances at the renowned Glastonbury Festival and a string of shows to release their new single Gorgon, the first release from their upcoming debut full-length album.
Gorgon is a big bold dance number, a raucous drum-led dance explosion with a moody trumpet solo, a ripping guitar feature and lacings of percussion, clarinet, violin and accordion.
Following the success of two EPs and years of sell-out shows and festival headline slots across Australia, Gusto Gusto are excited for their inaugural UK tour.

Finalists for the 2023 Australian Folk Music Awards’ Artist of the Year, Gusto Gusto is West Preston's best dressed band, playing music to make you dance. A flamboyant seven-piece show with a hefty dose of audience participation and non-stop dance tunes, we play loud, happy music that's guaranteed to fill the dance floor. We’re also kind of funny.
In 2022, we hit the ground running with a frenetic first year releasing our debut EP Suitcase Cake, sold-out shows across Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane and a 3 am NYE slot at Woodford Folk Festival (QLD).
Our second EP Secret Dance Party came out October 2023 with shows at Brunswick Music Festival (VIC), Moomba (VIC), Tablelands Folk Festival (QLD), Illawarra Folk Festival (NSW), and Cygnet Folk Festival (TAS).
2024 carries on the momentum with slots at Glastonbury Festival and a June/July UK tour, the September release of our debut full-length album and our biggest Australian tour yet.
