The Midnight Stroll

The Midnight Stroll is singer/songwriter Aaron Behrens (best know as the enigmatic frontman of Austin electro pop stars Ghostland Observatory) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Jonas Wilson (best know as the lead guitarist of Heartless Bastards and producer of acts Urban Heat, The Black Angels, Night Glitter and many more..) The band began in 2013 as a solo outlet for Behrens while GLO was on hiatus. He enlisted Wilson as producer and music director and quickly Wilson and Behrens decided it was better it be band as the two loved the open collaboration and comradery. Since 2013 the band has played Austin City Limits Festival, Wakarusa, Utopia Fest, Neon Desert and many more national festivals and several national headlining and opening tours.
The duo became known for their unique high energy and volume performances using outdated technology such as analog tape machines and handmade synthesizers while still being a great rock guitar and frontman show. The band released two full length albums “Heartbreak Bugaloo” (2015) and “Western Static “ (2017) both met with critical acclaim and warm reception. The Duo took hiatus in 2018 while Behrens worked again on Ghostland Observatory and recorded and toured new music in 2018-2019. Wilson took up residence as the lead guitarist in the legendary Heartless Bastards touring all of 2021-2023 and founded his record label Mr Pink Records 2018. The two returned to the studio during 2023 for new writing and recording sessions.
