TAILGUNNER are here to put British Heavy Metal back on the map! ‘Laser Guided Riffs N’ Hooks that Kill’ – No apologies, no compromises! Launching in 2022 the band are a blitzkrieg in the underground, playing two UK headline tours boasting sold out shows and heralded as ”The most exciting live band in the country” by Rockflesh, the band signed to Fireflash Records, brand new offshoot of German behemoth Atomic Fire all in just the first 6 months of their career. Getting the seal of approval from KK Downing of Judas Priest fame, the band opened for the Metal legend just a week before their now critically acclaimed debut album ‘Guns For Hire’, charted in the UK – A feat not seen on a debut album by a Heavy Metal band since the glory days of old. Following a headline tour of Germany and the UK with more sold out dates, including a capacity crowd at the iconic Blackheart in London, the album was listed by Fistful of Metal magazine as the # 1 album of 2023! This is no throwback, this here and now. Welcome to the Revolution!

As the venue was pretty small, the atmosphere was very lively and friendly, which meant I was able to get my patch signed by both Craig and Rhea (the latter of which I didn’t even know was in the band until the concert!)
All of the songs from Guns for Hire were played, alongside a mysterious new single titled Beast In The Night and a couple of cool interludes (A brief excerpt from In The Hall of The Mountain King and Don’t Talk to Strangers!)
Merch was solid, with signed lyric sheets, vinyls and tour shirts available at reasonable prices: The fact that the band themselves were there to sign practically anything you bought was a nice touch too!
Overall, this concert was an unforgettable experience and, as my first concert EVER, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Tailgunner is/was a successful band made of good friends that ended in 2006. Based out of San Diego, they toured, loved, and made records.
