Lemon

There are several artists using the name LEMON.

1. LEMON is a UK artist, the alter-ego of producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Nick Hollywood.

Nick was one half of the team responsible for the seminal and hugely successful London night CLUB MONTEPULCIANO, which ran for over 11 years and was described by Time Out in 2004 as one of the "things you have to do before you can call yourself a real Londoner". They pioneered the UK Lounge, Cabaret and Burlesque scenes, before setting up the label CLUB MONTEPULCIANO RECORDINGS, through which they released a series of influential compilations (including the 'Bongo Beach' series and 'Showgirls and Sugardaddies'), the debut LEMON - FRESH! EP and LEMON:UP! album, a string of sold-out 7" singles, EPs, and the work of various other acts.

In 2005 Nick launched the new label Freshly Squeezed Music. Amongst their first releases was LEMON's second album "With a Twist" (ZESTCD001).

Tracks from LEMON have been licensed to numerous compilations worldwide and can be heard in adverts internationally. LEMON songs also appear on the soundtracks and trailers to many Hollywood movies including Knocked Up, The Heartbreak Kid, License To Wed, Wild Hogs (all in 2007!) and frequently crop up on TV series including several tracks in the hit show Ugly Betty.

2. LEMON is a Belgian band from Bruges. They started in 1999 and have been compared to Coldplay and Radiohead.

Their first cd 'Magnetic' was released in 2003, in the same year they did a small tour, and performed on Werchter.
Their music (notably 'Stay With Me') was used for a Flemish television series called 'Kinderen Van Dewindt'.

A second album is expected later this year (2006).

3. LEMON was a Finnish band (1969-1974) best known of its Uriah Heep cover Nainen tummissa (Lady in Black).

4. LEMON was also the name of an American 1970's disco/funk band.
