Biographie de The Shakers
Just when you thought every musical hybrid had been realized, LA’s THE SHAKERS have emerged as the missing link between soul and grit-rock. Previously described as “The Black Keys meets Heart” or even “AC/DC meets The Supremes,” The Shakers are able to peak potential listeners’ curiosity without even requiring the proverbial “listen.” All comparisons aside, the 4-piece outfit has created something truly original and charismatic – a brand of modern music that the ill-remaining music industry has been so desperately aching for. Loud, unapologetic, and masters of the stage domain.
The band’s most recent album Rescue Team – tracked entirely to tape and self-produced with the help of Johnny Schreffler Jr’s engineering savvy – rests comfortably between the nook of sexy and raw. Songs like “The Hold” and “I Spy” will make you sway and thrust while tracks like “I’ll Find You” and “Villain” will make you twist and shout. The record acts as a suave transition from 2011’s Oh So Loud, giving the listener a look at the dynamic musicianship of the band – highlighting multiple personalities.
The band has previously opened for such acts as Everclear, Our Lady Peace, The Motels, and Semi Precious Weapons, while headlining sold-out shows at seminal Los Angeles venues including The Roxy Theatre, The Troubadour, and The Satellite.
