The Flabbies, opgericht in 2015 door jeugdvrienden Oğuz Kont en Sarp Dağlar Şahin, maakt een mix van instrumentale shoegaze en post-rock. Gevestigd in Istanbul, kregen ze zowel lokale als internationale erkenning met hun debuutalbum “Back in Town”, wat leidde tot een rol in een FIAT-reclame in 2018. Bekend om hun serene melodieën en etherische soundscapes, ontwikkelden ze zich in 2022 tot een trio met drummer Can Sürmen en brachten ze hun tweede album “ALIVE” uit, een genre overstijgende fusie van disco, shoegaze en psychedelische klanken. Met een nieuwe EP in het verschiet voor hun Europese tournee, blijven The Flabbies onderzoeken en vernieuwen, en nodigen ze luisteraars uit voor een spannende reis door hun evoluerende muzikale landschap.

Biographie de The Flabbies
The Flabbies was formed in 2015 in Istanbul by childhood friends Oguz Kont and Sarp Daglar Sahin. After working on different projects together for over 10 years, the duo released their first single Gentrification in 2015, followed by a 3-song EP, which introduced a style like no other in Turkey.
