Biographie de Waves In April
If you’ve been to Texas lately, you know that New Braunfels and nearby historic Gruene have become hotspots for every kind of music genre. Catch the strains from places like Gruene Hall and Phoenix Saloon, and you just might be listening to the soundtrack of your life by a local band called Waves.
Comprised of friends who met through School Of Rock New Braunfels, Waves has been in demand since their origin in March 2019. They have opened for artists at notable places such as John T. Floores Country Store, Gruene Hall, Cain's Ballroom, Whitewater Amphitheater, and Key West’s Mile 0 Fest.
A Waves show promises the next song will be as heartfelt as the last, with original jams and creative beats intertwined with classic and contemporary tunes. What will they do next? If you’ve been fortunate enough to see them live, you realize that sometimes they don’t even know. An energetic crowd combined with a passionate groove will effortlessly transform a beloved song into an extended jam right before our eyes. Glances and nods between band members let us know that something magical is happening, and the result takes us where the music wants us to go...certainly beyond expectation.
Peyton (19), Elysha (18), Luke (17), Willy (14), and Dierks (16) — together they create a mix-tape for all of us, proving that good music is the bridge that connects generations. Through their eclectic song choices and keen interpretations, grandmas are discovering Billie Eilish and 7 year olds are jamming to Led Zeppelin.
Motivated to provide an experience for their crowd, this Texas-based band pays homage to those who have inspired them while giving us a glimpse into their own individualities and craftsmanship. Waves reminds us how the past has led us to today, and invites us to join them on the journey of things to come. Check out their originals on their debut EP, Take It Or Leave It.
