Biographie de Nixon
Nixon is a rock band formed in Almeria, Spain, by longtime friends in 2010.
Previously known as Scaramusa, the band currently consists of Alex (lead vocals, guitar) Daniel Girona (lead guitar), Pedro Gil (drums, percussion, synthesizers), Juanmi (guitars, synthesizers), and Sergio (bass, synthesizers and backing vocals).
The quintet has toured widely throughout Spain supporting acts such as Second, Ninos Mutantes and Full. Following a two-year tour, the band released in 2006 its full-length studio album titled El Ultimo Fuego after a successful crowdfunding campaign. This record made the band earn an unique sound by the use of synthesizers and analog drum machines.
They received attention due to their appearance in Los Conciertos de Radio3, reaching a huge audience with their performance at the 20th anniversary of Sonorama Ribera festival, Weekend Beach or Granada Sound among many others.
Alongside their critical acclaim and promising future, Nixon has found its place as an emerging act necessary in the Spanish music scene. Their brand of dark indie rock is commonly compared to the sound of bands such as Depeche Mode , Foals and U2.
