Biographie de Rose Funeral
Rose Funeral is a melodic deathcore band out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Comparable to those of The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates, and Prayer for Cleansing, they bring fast paced riffs, bone crushing breakdowns, and in your face melodies. Formed in the fall of 2005, Rose Funeral consisted of Ryan Gardner on Drums, Destin Armstrong on Bass, Drey Armstrong on guitar, Ray Hughes on vocals, and Tony Younce on guitar.
Playing various shows in the tri-state area with bands such as Ed Gein, The Red Chord, and Ligiea, Rose Funeral built a sizeable fan base bringing death metal and hardcore breakdowns together with raw emotion and energy. Doing all the recording themselves, they released a demo titled “Buried Beneath the Blood” in March of ’06. Going through some rough times, original vocalist Ray Hughes, decided to leave the band for personal reasons. Destin Armstrong, playing bass guitar at the time, decided to move to vocals. They then came in contact with Craig Binaut, who they had met through playing shows with his old band. Rose Funeral decided to ask him to take the bass position.
In August of ’06 they self released their second ep titled “Crucify.Kill.Rot” which was very well accepted amongst their fans and fellow bands. The band was then later contacted by a new indie label out of the UK called Seige of Amida Records, who had an interest in distributing Crucify.Kill.Rot. and possibly releasing more media in the future.
Working on a summer tour, Rose Funeral has been busier than ever writing new material and playing shows to further their reputation as a band.
