Lauréate JUNO, Jocelyn Gould a été qualifiée de "leader de la prochaine génération de grands guitaristes de jazz mainstream" par Howard Paul, PDG de Benedetto Guitars.
Son premier album en tant que leader, Elegant Traveler, a remporté un JUNO en 2021 pour l'album de jazz de l'année. Son deuxième album, Golden Hour, a atteint la première place des charts d'Earshot au Canada.
Jocelyn a passé les dernières années en tournée de manière intensive. En 2023, Jocelyn a été présentée lors d'une tournée en solo de guitare dans 34 villes américaines et canadiennes. Elle a également fait ses débuts en tant que leader au Royaume-Uni, en Espagne et en Israël dans le cadre d'une tournée internationale de trois continents célébrant la sortie de son troisième album, Sonic Bouquet.
Jocelyn Gould s'est produite à l'international au sein des groupes du chanteur nominé aux Grammy, Freddy Cole, du trompettiste Etienne Charles et du tromboniste lauréat du sondage des critiques de DownBeat, Michael Dease. On peut l'entendre sur des albums dirigés par Michael Dease, Caity Gyorgy, Jon Gordon, Diego Rivera, Randy Napoleon et Will Bonness.
Jocelyn est professeure à temps plein et responsable de la guitare au Humber College de Toronto. Elle est soutenue par Benedetto Guitars.
Le Laurier Jazz Club sera le club de jazz éphémère du Festival situé au 661, Grande-Allée Est à l'Hôtel Château Laurier.

2021 JUNO Award winner Jocelyn Gould has been called “a leader in the next generation of great mainstream jazz guitarists” by Howard Paul, CEO of Benedetto Guitars. Her joyful energy has captivated audiences around the world and her passion for music is as infectious as her unique ability to connect with audiences. Jocelyn has absorbed the influences of the jazz guitar greats and has woven them into an exciting personal sound, citing Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Joe Pass and Kenny Burrell as primary influences on the guitar.
Jocelyn has performed and recorded internationally as a leader and with GRAMMY-nominated vocalist Freddy Cole, JUNO-winning trumpeter and vocalist Bria Skonberg, DownBeat Trombonist of the Year Michael Dease, Etienne Charles, Jon Gordon, Rodney Whitaker, Randy Napoleon and Diego Rivera.
Jocelyn’s debut album, Elegant Traveler, won the 2021 JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year: Solo.
Golden Hour, Jocelyn’s sophomore album, showcases her virtuosic guitar playing and dynamic compositions, and introduces her voice. It has received international critical acclaim and radio play including extensive play on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. Golden Hour reached #1 on Canadian and #9 on North American college radio jazz charts.
Jocelyn is a Professor and Head of Guitar Department at Humber College in Toronto. She is a Benedetto-endorsed artist.
