Description du concert
The Golden Gaytimes are on their way to The Stag & Hunter to spread the love and share their uninhibited, feel good vibes!Coming at you from Maitland, NSW, The Golden Gaytimes release their new single 'The Golden Gaytimes Theme', from their debut album Hot As Buggery, out now via Half A Cow Records/MGM.The Golden Gaytimes (featuring members of Muzzy Pep, The Sleepy Jackson, Forever Since Breakfast and The Great Dividing Range) with the one and only Jane ‘Jane-O’ Harvey up front. They're a band driven by the understanding that great music is made with liberal measures of both spook and wonk. Their recently released debut album has inspired a run of madcap, psychedelic and party atmosphere gigs, guaranteed to have punters heading for the dance floor. The Matthew Walker-edited video clip for the new single, which premiered with the AU review, captures some of that intoxicating irreverence and live energy they bring to every stage they tumble onto. ‘The Golden Gaytimes Theme’, the third single from Hot as Buggery, hits the afterburners and comes out swinging with a rock 'n' roll, glam aesthetic. Invoking the band’s mission statement, it's a rave up and ‘call to arms' (and legs!). ‘You’ll want to dance, and maybe twerk / We’re going to help you with the devil’s work / You might squeal shout and sing / You’ll want to marry us with your Cheezel wedding ring,’ sings front-person Jane-O. About to hit the road again, The Golden Gaytimes will be out and about spreading the love and sharing their uninhibited, feel good vibes across NSW, VIC and QLD.

Biographie de The Tryouts

The Tryouts are a two piece indie pop band who met when singer-songwriter, Chelsea Reed, hired guitarist, David Macmichael, to back her up on a small Canadian tour in late 2017. A few co-writes later the pair took a songwriting trip to LA and decided to get married. It was there they penned the autobiographical debut single, Washer, which leads the launch of their first EP Nothing Bad is Ever Going to Happen. Produced by Jack Moffitt (The Preatures, I Know Leopard, Johnny Hunter), the EP showcases a range of surfy sounds, bratty power pop, and piano ballads. Lead single Washer has already been met with glowing reviews from community and national
radio across Australia including Triple J, FBi, 4ZZZ, RTR FM and 2SER. The duo have shared the stage with notable artists such as Ben Lee, Sloan Peterson ,Tamara & the Dreams and Joan & the Giants as well as being invited to open for legendary ‘90s band Smudge. The Tryouts are continuing to tour throughout Australia in 2024 and are working on their debut full length album.
