Seattle born, Berlin-based electronic musician Camea provides a unique perspective to the world of dance music, rooted in her classical music training. She has toured the world many times over, bringing main stage energy into her sets, performing at the worlds best clubs and festivals time and time again. 2023 she has launched her new DJ /Live Hybrid performance. Her recent chart-topping releases on Kompakt/ Speicher, Second State, and her own imprint Neverwhere, continues her domination as a mainstay artist in the club and Festival landscape. Her release and remix discography is long and expansive, reaching the corners of legendary imprints like Richie Hawtin’s Minus & Plus 8, Ellen Allien’s Bpitch Control, Get Physical, Soma, Watergate, Pan-Pot’s Second State, Desert Hearts and many more. She’s had massive DJ appearances on Hör Radio, Mixmag Lab, Boiler Room, Fjaak’s series SPANDAU20, Awakenings Podcast (June 2023) and Robot Heart’s live mix series from Burning Man. Her label Neverwhere has also emerged as a force to be reckoned with, releasing EPs from artists like The Reason Y, Prøvost, Larry Cadge and JSPR. Camea is also credited to running legendary Clink Recordings, one of the minimal eras most illustrious labels, illustrating her years immersed in the Brooklyn underground dance scene in the mid-2000s. With her debut Album out in 2020 titled 'Dystopian Love’, Billboard hailed her as an artist to watch, and received praise from publications like Resident Advisor and Groove Magazine. Loa Szala blends stripped back but propulsive bleeps and breaks, hiding in rare undiscovered corners of atmospheric Techno, Progressive, Trance and Electro, with a seamless natural feel. Never rushed, her fine touch and captivating selections fold into a deeply inviting style, rewarding her audiences with a rich flow of records that are full of rumbling presence, finesse, and simmering energy, yet feel personal in every turn. Formerly based in both Poland and Japan, Loa has scoured the globe for underground sounds since 2014, and is now calling another vibrant 24-hour city her home: London.
