Biographie de Madame Psychosis
Hailing from Toronto, Madame Psychosis has been a steady presence in the city’s thriving music scene for nearly a decade – no easy feat for any indie rock band. Their staying power is a result of their commitment to each other and remaining focused on their collective obsession: creating music with meaning.
Their long run is highlighted by several milestones, including appearances on national TV, shows at iconic venues and performances at a number of festivals, including Canadian Music Week. During this time, they also released two studio albums, including their self-titled debut and their 2019 sophomore effort Survivor. It was Survivor that yielded the single “Kapow”, described as “a brilliant piece of music” (Lefuturewave), a “heart-dropping anthem” (Buzz Music) and “a classic earworm” (Yack! Magazine).
And they were just getting started.
In late 2023, Madame Psychosis released “Concrete Streets”, their first single since prevailing over the global pandemic. The track was dubbed “a rousing, melodic success” (Obscure Sound) and “a high-energy eclectic masterpiece” (Lost In the Manor).
With a unique sound that blends several genres, this five-piece outfit has garnered a loyal fanbase and has kept its promise to deliver music from the heart. With their third studio album slated for a fall release, Madame Psychosis has its sights set at greater heights in 2024.
