Grandpas Basement

GRANDPAS BASEMENT is an up-and-coming Munich heavy rock band that has already made a name for itself in the southern German underground scene with its gripping stage shows in and around Munich and its debut album NO REGRETS, released in 2023. The formation around frontman Florian Weigel (Flowner - Vocals) with Stefan Obendorfer (Stef - Guitar), Gerald Schomacker (Gery - Guitar), Joachim Nieters (Joe - Bass) and Martin Kastner (Mart - Drums) stands for a powerful guitar sound with driving bass lines and explosive drums: dynamic, wild and loud. Hard, dropped guitar riffs contrast with spherical soundscapes with psychedelic elements and melodic leads, accompanied by a charismatic lead vocal with sometimes lyrical, sometimes aggressive, sometimes controversial lyrics - but always in the name of brotherhood, unity, freedom and peace among people. Stylistically, GRANDPAS BASEMENT are difficult to compare with other bands or to assign to a specific musical genre, because the songs stand for themselves and, in addition to hard n heavy and hard rock components, also reveal characteristic blues, stoner and metal influences.
