Incredible show!!! One of my favorite groups, so it was great to see them on tour, way hello again, and get some merch. They did a masterful job adding new music, in spanish no less, which the crowd loved. can hardly wait to see them perform again.

Biographie de Salt Cathedral

Salt Cathedral are the genre-defying New York based duo of Nico and Juli, celebrated for their ability to fuse elements from the vanguard of electronic music, a scope of global rhythms, and Caribbean dance culture to create an inimitable sound that is as accessible as it is adventurous. Nico and Juli are originally from Bogota, Colombia but met in the United States while attending Berklee College of Music and began releasing a series of acclaimed EPs pushing against the pillars of indie rock and Latin music that attracted attention from Pitchfork and fans around the world. In 2020, the band released their debut album CARISMA followed by an album of re imaginations. The songs and their accompanying videos which echo the music’s magical realism have been championed by Rolling Stone, NPR, Nylon, Remezcla . Salt Cathedral have also taken their mesmerizing live show around the world which not only dances across genres but also blurs the line between analog and electronic.

The band is heavily influenced by their Colombian upbringing and Latin dance culture.
Their music embodies a big force of positivity dealing with things like the struggles of relationships, anxieties, climate change, beauty standards, and collective ideals.
They attempt to redefine the conventional ideas of what is to be a latino in 2022.

Their 2nd full length album, Before It's Gone, is set for release in early 2023.
