We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town! This week we join forces with Turning Agency to celebrate 5 years since launching, with TILE, Grand Pine and Grass Stains on the bill!Turning Agency has presented gig series across a number of music venues in Australia and continues to strive in their services to music artists releasing their music and offering mentoring.TILE is a four-piece alt-rock outfit from Naarm, Melbourne, Australia. They combine elements of post-punk and indie rock guitars, driving an upbeat rhythm section and baritone new-wave vocals with classic pop hooks. Exploring the breakdowns and growth of relationships, universal experiences and the nuisances of your twenties whilst dealing with mental health, TILE presents an overall theme of personal development. Taking sonic inspirations from bands like The Cure, Bloc Party and Interpol.Formed by a collective of well-loved Melbourne singer-songwriters in 2017, Grand Pine are one of Australia's most promising Indie Folk bands.Taking inspiration from artists such as Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Andy Shauf and The Paper Kites, Grand Pine create their own style of Cinematic Indie-Folk .Grand Pine made their debut showcase at BIGSOUND 2022 and have recently played at the Queenscliff Music Festival, By The Meadow, and Grampians Music Festival as well as supporting acts such as Sons Of The East, Egoism, Alexander Biggs, Rat!Hammock, Dan Kelly, WILSN and Wolf and Willow played sold out shows at venues such as Northcote Social Club, The Gasometer, Brunswick Ballroom and played The Evelyn Hotel, The Tote + more.Grass Stains are described as an energetic and undeniably fun, pop-rock unit. Inspired by the trials and tribulations of meaningless jobs, complicated relationships, long coffee orders and making poor decisions, Grass Stains explores themes of strength, curiosity, and perseverance, often writing about real life experiences. Fronting the band is Zena Mohammod - who is no stranger to the spotlights with sharing stages with the likes of; Tiny Moving Parts, Slowly Slowly, Spiderbait, Bugs and opening Falls Festival with her now hiatus old project, Squid Fishing. We are proud to partner with Mountain Goat & Heaps Normal for this show. Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.Full conditions of entry | Accessibility Info
