As I mentioned in my note to you, the set was wonderful, entrancing and moving, lyrical and strong. I check in every so often to see if you'll be playing in the area, but alas, no...I hope all is well. Please put me on whatever list will reach me with a notice of upcoming shows. And if returning to The Stone Church is of interest, I'll put in a passionate word for you...til next time, all the best. Thank you...

Biographie de Francesca Blanchard
Since the 2015 release of her critically-acclaimed bilingual debut album, deux visions, French-American artist Francesca Blanchard has continued to rise. She has toured extensively across North America and Europe, garnered high profile licensing placements on major network TV shows, performed at the Francofolies of Montreal and The Calgary Folk Fest and opened for Joan Armatrading, Suzanne Vega, Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers (among others).
Since her debut, Francesca’s musical identity has shifted. She's moved from French-American folk to indie-pop. She dives into more self-effacing, complex explorations of the human psyche to illustrate both the grandiose and trivial nature of her favorite topic: Heartbreak (and what comes after). Re-defined production and a self-imparted responsibility to have a little more fun propel Blanchard in a fresh and unpredictable direction.
Her revised approach has already led to new milestones. In October 2017, Francesca’s single “Free” was featured prominently in a pivotal closing scene on the ABC TV series Grey’s Anatomy. In January 2018, Francesca released her single “Maria,” a song she wrote for a benefit concert to aid Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. A love song "from the point of view of an island, to a woman named Maria,” proceeds from the single were donated to hurricane relief efforts.
Francesca is currently finishing the production of her second album, which she plans to release in 2019.
