Jiva hails from Atlanta, GA. Their Fender Rhodes-driven rhythm section conjures R&B, House, Bossa Nova, and Drum & Bass beats, combined with a soulful vocal 4-piece section. They bring back memories of Brazil '66 and the 5th dimension. The Jazz infused horn section rounds out this trinity of sound that skillfully presents musical gems written and orchestrated by the band's leader and bassist, Khari Simmons (also a member of India.Arie's rhythm section).
