Robert Plant is also a noted Legendary Shack Shakers fan, and picked the band to open for him on his Strange Sensation tour of Europe. Plant named the bands third album Believe as one of his favorite records, and the list of esteemed admirers goes on to include horror novelist Stephen King. King listed CB Song as among his iPods Top Five in an Entertainment Weekly article. HILLBILLY CASINOIn a town known for hat act pop country, and slick production, the Hillbilly Casino has been working hard. Since 2005, the band has been an anchor of Nashvilles underground roots music community. Booking their own local shows, and touring across the US and Europe with acts as diverse as Brian Setzer, Rancid and Yelawolf, and releasing their own records, The Hillbilly Casino took the best of the DYI ethic from the punk scene, and applied it to their very own brand of real american music. Drawing inspiration from early rock and roll and blues, to punk, metal and everything inbetween, these four have created a sound and attitude that is unforgettable. Featuring former members of Brian Setzers Nashvillains, BR549, and the Blue Moon Boys, The Hillbilly Casino has a roots pedigree that comes through in their writing and playing, and a live show that has blown away audiences from all over the world. ShovelmanShovelman is a junkyard beatnik, a shovel guitar wielding surrealist folk superhero. Armed with a collection of pawnshop effects pedals and an old barn-shovel turned slide-guitar, Shovelman plays ol fashioned folktronica-grooves looped straight out of the ground. The sounds of Mississippi delta blues from the electro-psychedelic future, collide with the antiquated rubble of lyrical one-man-band hoboetry. Shovelman has become infamous on the west coast festival circuit, sharing stages with acts such as Primus, Beats Antique, Fantastic Negrito, Daniel Lanois, Kaki King and Reggie Watts. He has also performed alongside the west coasts most prominent bohemian circus troupes, including Lucent Dossier, The Vau De Vire Society and The Wanderlust Circus.
