Biographie de Last Lions
Since 2014, Last Lions have been pumping Perth and surrounding suburbs' bars, nightclubs, youth halls and backyard parties full of their emtionally charged, yet danceable and relatable brand of indie-punk. They cut their teeth playing regular shows at Leederville's YMCA HQ throughout their high school years, landing local festival slots and supporting many of their favourite bands (including Luca Brasi, Gnarwolves, and Tired Lion) by the time they graduated.
In 2019 alone, Last Lions released their debut EP "Stop Killing Each Other" and embarked on their first national tour to promote it. Before the sweat on their guitars could dry, the quartet released their next single "Hoodie," which came with another fruitful tour of regional WA, and supporting duties for the sold out WA leg of Brissy legends WAAX 's I AM tour, finishing it off with a packed headline show at their local stomping ground, Lucy's Love Shack. To wrap up a huge year, their next single "Doctor" was launched with their danciest, smiliest and most beer-in-the-air-sing-alongiest headline show yet, plus packed gigs around the state supporting Press Club, Gyroscope, and Slowly Slowly.
With the new year, comes new bassist Calum McLaughlin and a new single.
"In The End" contains their filthiest, fuzziest breakdown yet as well as their sunniest, acoustic guitar and tambourine sing along to date. In The End details getting through times where it seems like the end of the world. It has an uplifting “it won’t be like this forever” message, and sonically reflects those two states of mind and the contrast between them. "The feel okay hit of the apocalypse," if you will.
