Tom Scott is a celebrated saxophonist, composer and arranger whose inspired, dynamic solos and masterful compositions have graced countless hits. With over 30 solo recordings and over 500 as guest artist to his name, this legendary saxman has garnered 3 Grammy Awards and 14 nominations and has worked with such diverse artists as Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Carol King, Paul McCartney, the Blues Brothers and Steely Dan. Encompassing a combination of jazz, funk and R&B, Tom Scott & the L.A. Express rose to great acclaim in the 70s. Playing with pulsating energy and heart, Tom Scott & the LA Express is extraordinarily eclectic, cutting edge and cool as ever. The concert will feature Billy Valentine, a singer-songwriter whose varied career has led him to collaborations with such greats as Will Jennings, the Neville Brothers and Ray Charles.

Biographie de Tom Scott

There are two artists who both share the name Tom Scott, the first being:

1)Tom Scott is born May 19th, 1948 in Los Angeles. Saxophonist, composer, arranger, conductor and leader of the west coast jazz fusion ensemble, the L.A. Express. His best-known works are the theme-tunes for the 1970s TV series Starsky and Hutch and Streets of San Francisco.
He has made 26 solo recordings, numerous film and television scoring credits and countless appearances on records by such diverse artists as Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison, Steely Dan, Quincy Jones and Frank Sinatra. He is also an original member of the Blues Brothers band and noted for playing the Lyricon.
