MOONFRUITS
Their first foray into the US after playing the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Moonfruits are excited to bring their imaginary village of Ste-Quequepart (‘Saint-Somewhere’) to the States and dream a little with their southern neighbours, banjo, guitar, kalimba, glockenspiel and harmonies in tow.
RUBY RAE
Ruby Rae's latest project was inspired during her residency at the Akumal International Art Residency in Mexico (2015). The songs create a journey inspired by personal transformation, Mayan legends, tropical + desert landscapes, hiraeth and nostalgia, and film noir. She is currently working on songs for a new full length album titled "True Crime" to be released in 2019 in collaboration with Lawson White and Good Child Music.

Biographie de Moonfruits
Moonfruits—led by Ottawa-based partners Alex Millaire and Kaitlin Milroy—craft contemporary folk, organically alternating between French and English, that addresses our collective humanity with heart, wit, and wonder. This Stingray Rising Star, SOCAN, and Dora award-winning group has toured their transportive live show across Canada, the US, and the EU.
Recent winners of a Capital Music Award for best Production & Arrangements, they are also nominated for Emerging Act & Producers of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Moonfruits’ sophomore album, Salt (2022), delves into what it means to live, dream, and raise a child in an era of climate change and deepening inequality. It is rooted and astral, tender and powerful, foreboding and hopeful, cradling all the convictions and contradictions of its songwriters.
