Biographie de DJ Big Styles

DJ Big Styles is an international talent. He has logged spins of his mixes and original productions in Germany, London, Paris, Australia and of course his native USA. The DJ behind the internationally blogged Dillah Jones
(J Dilla and Norah Jones) mashup series, and one half of the production team TekStyles, he is a veteran music journalist and producer.
Styles has 20+ years of DJ experience starting out when he was a teenager. His passion for constantly finding the best new music has never waned. His sound tailored toward the influential city dweller, and stylish music nerds. He is the king of “the vibe” creating perfect energy and accenting the mood with his selections. Styles is a maverick that challenges audiences in VIP rooms, and is just as comfortable in a basement sweat box. provides lush mixes for download.
He has opened for Floetry, Jamiroquai, Musiq Soulchild, The Pharcyde, and The Roots. He played Kenny the Jet Smith's 2005 All Star Party, rocked stages with J Rocc, Questlove, King Britt, Amerigo Gazaway, Vikter Duplaix, King Britt, and Maseo from De La Soul. Styles is a part of the Nationwide collective known as MOM DJs and hosts the Denver edition of Motown on Mondays. He has played MOM nights all over the country.
A devoted writer and pop culture critic, Styles contributes as Shawn C. White for the popular music blog Chrome Music. He also writes for Village Voice Media’s Pazz & Jop poll and Westword. He has interviewed masters of their art such as John Legend and Gretchen Parlato.
