Biographie de The Memoirs
Nottingham quintet The Memoirs meld the rage of indie rock with the sensibilities of post-punk to create an epic, guitar-fuelled blast of alternative rock.
The Memoirs are Ned Jones (vocals), Seb Doyle (guitar), Alex Perry (guitar), Jamie Irving (bass) and James Lyons (drums). They met at Nottingham University and subsequently dropped out to form the band.
Their debut release, the 3-song Means to an End EP was released on 8th June 2018 via Strataville.
Lead song Means to an End is a call-to-arms to take control of your life and change it for the better, flying in the face of monotonous daily work life, anti-climactic weekends and the disappointment of fair-weather friends.
The EP contains 2 additional songs, the equally angular Bathed in Light and Barely Living.
'Huge. Huge Sound.' (BBC Introducing)
'Soaring guitars and driving vocal hooks. Uplifting.' (It's All Indie)
'Engaging, guitar-fuelled, grand alt.rock' (Fame Magazine)
'Our 'Release of the Week.' Epic.' (Nusic)
