We're celebrating powerful queens with female artists and female fronted bands allllll night long at the Evelyn! Gals Against Violence will feature some amazing women crushing it in the Melbourne music scene while raising money for victims of domestic violence. On average, 1 woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner in Australia. 32 women have been murdered this year, in just 26 weeks. These statistics are shocking but they're real. Let's come together to build awareness of this issue in our community and help fund one of Victoria's best resources for victims of DV. All ticket sales will go directly to Safe Steps, a not-for-profit organisation who are committed to providing 24 hour phone counselling, immediate support, emergency accommodation and information and prevention programs.
