Gabby Z

Gabby Z is a singer/songwriter from Saint Paul, Minnesota with a powerful voice and killer songs to match. Inspired by artists like Hozier and Amy Winehouse, her songs sit right in that sweet spot between blues, folk, and pop. Although she is just 19 years old, Gabby is already an accomplished artist. At age 13, she recorded two singles at the legendary Castle Recording Studios in Franklin, TN, and was asked to perform at multiple studio showcases.  The following year, she performed on the Grandstand Stage at the Minnesota State Fair as a finalist in the annual talent competition. Most recently, she was featured on American Idol (Seasons 14 & 15) where she made it all the way to the top 80 contestants.


Gabby is now studying studio composition at the Purchase Conservatory of Music in New York, where she is working on her first EP (to be released in July). She has performed at venues around NYC such as Rockwood Music Hall and Mercury Lounge, with the help of her backing band -- Sean Power on bass, Martine Mauro-Wade on drums, and Carrey Ozmun on trumpet.


From NYC, to Nashville, to LA,  Gabby's music has taken her all over the country. But wherever she goes, her sultry voice, clever lyrics, and unshakeable melodies never fail to captivate an audience.
