Maria Arredondo

Maria Arredondo was born in 1985 and raised outside the city of Kristiansand in the south of Norway. Maria has been singing all her life.She spent almost two year in the studio developing her own style and sound, before signing a deal with Universal Music of Scandinavia.Her debut album "Maria Arredondo", got the highest score possible in Norways largest nationwide newspaper-VG.
Her incredible success has made Maria the first artist in Norway which has reached top 3 on the airplay chart with four single releases from a debut album.
By the end of 2003 the album has sold more than 70.000 units witch are outstanding and very rare for a debut artis in Norway.
Her second album "Not Going Under", was released in November 2005, and has sold platinum in Norway. Several successful songwriters also contributed on this album: Diana Warren, Douglas Carr, Espen Lind(Stargate), Amund Bjørklund(Stargate), Winston Sela, Randy Goodrum, Majorie Maye and Marion Raven. The album also have a duet with Espen Lind.
Maria released her Chrismas album "Min Jul" in November 2006. "Min Jul" sold platinum in Norway.
