A brand-new spin on this timeless classic. Experience the world premiere of Christopher Anderson's retelling of The Sleeping Beauty, with a decidedly western Canadian sensibility. Inspired by Tchaikovsky's noble score, Anderson's grand interpretation of this most famous fairy tale will transport all to the kingdom that slept 100 years. This pinnacle of classical dance is heralded as ballet's most sumptuous and artistically exacting masterpiece. Both the regal visual splendor and Tchaikovsky's monumental score will enchant the entire family. Biographie de The Sleeping Beauty
A duo of Midori Tamura (sax, accordion, vocals) and Shion Tamura (piano, keyboards), based in Tokyo, Japan. They have released “no sound and no silence,” “liv,” “auguries,” and “empty playground,” which have been long sellers at museum shops and boutique stores.
After the concert at Hara Museum Tokyo in 2009, they have been playing at various cafes and galleries. In 2018, a song from “auguries” was selected by Ryuichi Sakamoto’s playlist for a restaurant in New York. In January 2021, they played again at Hara Museum in their online event “Hara X: Touched by Light — the sleeping beauty and Moeka Shiotsuka.”
