Billets, dates de tournée et concerts pour Jo Harman
Description du concert
Widely regarded as one of Europe's finest ever soul/blues fuelled voices, JO HARMAN remains a genre-defying, independently minded artist of rare credibility, who makes sincere and heartfelt music, often compared to that of the 'golden age of music'.Jo recently released her second studio album 'People We Album' to much critical acclaim (see accolades at foot of the page) and no little commercial success. Indeed the 'lead single', 'When We Were Young' (featuring Michael McDonald) achieved BBC Radio 2 play-listing, as well as play listing on other mainstream national stations across Ireland (RTE1) and Europe. The album has also made various 'best of' lists for 2017. A multi award winning/nominated performer, Jo has achieved considerable success at home and abroad, headlining prestigious venues and festivals throughout Europe, North America and beyond, including playing as one of eleven (otherwise household name) artists to 300k people at Parkpop, in the Hague. Amongst many other career highlights in her relatively short career, Jo was also invited by Amnesty International to perform at their prestigious 'Ambassador of Conscience' Award in Berlin alongside the likes of Patti Smith and Joan Baez, Jo has indeed recently been asked to guest on Motown Songwriting legend Lamont Dozier's 'Reimagination' album - alongside other legendary guests such as Gregory Porter and Sir Cliff Richard - and, in fact, she duets with Lamont on the lead single 'Reach Out, I'll Be There'. She'll be touring Japan with Lamont as part of that project, as well as featuring on his prestigious UK tour. Come hear why Rag 'N Bone took to social media to proclaim Jo as 'one of this country's finest talents' and why soul super star Michael McDonald advised 'hearing her cover one of my songs was a spiritual experience'. The show at Chapel Arts will be a full band show comprising Jo's world class musicians (with CV's to match) on guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, in addition to Jo herself on lead vocals.http://joharman.com/ https://www.facebook.com/joharmanofficial/videos/2211382089089399/Her Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheJOHARMANOFFICIAL

Biographie de Jo Harman

Jo Harman is an award winning vocalist who has performed at some of Europe's most prestigious venues, including performing for, and with, the likes of Patti Smith and Joan Baez in Berlin. The Daily Mirror called her 'the finest female soul blues vocalist in the UK' and Huey Morgan said on his Radio 2 programme 'sometimes you hear a voice that leaves you speechless...I am'. She is widely recognised as one of the finest vocalists and writers to emerge in Europe over recent years, and has the CV, and industry admirers, to back it up. Some brief career highlights to date include:-

- her DIY debut album, released in 2013, being picked up V2 Records (Adele, Mumfords) etc in the Low Countries where it made the national album charts (alongside mainstream TV and Radio appearances for Jo)
- she has played around 100 festivals in recent years - many as headliner - across a number of countries, simply by dint of 'word of mouth' reputation, culminating in 4 consecutive appearances at 'BluesFest' - resulting in her 'Jo Harman Live at The Royal Albert Hall recorded by the BBC' live album. Jo was also one of only 12 (otherwise household name) artists to play ParkPop in the Hague to 300,000 people.
- Jo was one of a handful of (otherwise household named) artists asked to appear at Amnesty's 'Ambassador of Conscience' Awards in Berlin where she performed for, and with, Joan Baez (and Patti Smith).
- Jo has just recorded a much anticipated second studio album in Nashville, working with producer Fred Mollin (Carole King, Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel, BB King etc) which is scheduled to be released early in 2017.

Live, her soul fuelled show ranges from hard rock to intimate, heart-warming ballads and features both her own emotive songwriting, but also personal takes on well-known standards and songs that mean a lot to her.
