Die Allen-Forrester Band ist das neue gemeinsame Projekt der beiden New Yorker Gitarristen Ben Forrester und Josh Allen. Geprägt von den Pionieren des Southern Rock wie der Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd und Marshall Tucker, verpassen die beiden dem klassischen Twin-Guitar-Sound einen neuen Anstrich und verbinden ihre Einflüsse zu einem einzigartigen Mix aus Blues und Rock.
Während Josh Allen mit seiner ersten Band Jack O’Diamonds bereits europäische Charterfolge feiern konnte, hat sich Ben Forrester mit seiner eigenen Band auf mehreren deutschlandweiten Touren ein treues Publikum erspielt. Gemeinsam können die beiden auf ein breites Repertoire aus eigenen Songs und originellen Cover-Versionen zurückgreifen, in denen sie ihren musikalischen Wurzeln Raum geben, sich in immer neuen Variationen zu entfalten.
Die Live-Shows der Allen-Forrester Band leben daher nicht nur vom klassischen amerikanischen Sound der Band und Josh Allens rauer Blues-Stimme, sondern vor allem von der Spielfreude und Improvisationskunst der beiden Gitarristen.

Biographie de Ben Forrester
Ben Forrester is a guitar player from New York. Coming from a music oriented family, he started playing guitar at a young age. From the very beginning he was attracted to Blues and Rock music. His father took him at age 13 to an Allman Brothers Band concert and it added fuel to the fire. Instantly becoming a student of the master playing of the bands history of guitar players including Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, and Warren Haynes to name a few, he learned from them to travel back through their influences and contemporaries. Enlisting many Blues albums from the Delta Blues to the British Invasion, the path broadened when more guitar players also sought inspiration from the old master such as Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, and Gary Moore, to contemporaries like Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson, and Derek Trucks.
In learning through listening and playing improvisation based Blues and Rock, Ben has tried to bring an organic sound back into music. Being a student of freely playing has given him the chance to play with a more adapted style in the spirit of the torch bearing band, Gov't Mule. Thus putting the focus on letting the music breathe and playing for the moment, emotion, and inspiration.
Having recently moved to Germany, he is looking to bring his style and influence to Europe. Be on the look out for many shows, gigs, jams, and workshops with Ben Forrester on the bill.
