Biographie de Jose R. Duque-Drummer/Percussionist/Composer

A native of Venezuela, percussionist/drummer Jose Duque is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston and has studied at the Escuela de Musica Ars Nova with Cuban master Ruben "Tuti" Jimenez. He has performed with Amaya: Flamenco Sin Limites, Venezuelan pop artist Felix Roman, Juan Francisco, Roldan Pena's Jazz 3, Flamenco y Duende, and Sara es Rara. Jose has recorded and produced the CD for the Latin jazz group CORASON. He is the drummer/percussionist for the Randy Armstrong Trio and leader of Jose Duque's RELOAD, an experimental jazz band. Also Jose is the founder of Roman(us) and electronica/ambient band that span two continents, America and Europe. Jose has performed with The Kingsley Durant Trio, Randy Armstrong World Ensemble, which whom toured the Northeast US and recorded the latest album, and The Blurry Men, another Transatlantic project with Rafael Paz of RC2 fame. Jose recently moved to Florida, after recording a track for the BURNT BELIEF band with Jon Duran and Colin Edwin, bassist for Porcupine Tree and signed onto be the live drummer for BLACK ESKIMO, a trip-hop band founded by INgrid Chavez, who has worked with Prince and is the co-author of Madonna's hit, "justify my love". now with the newly formed THE GED trio, Jose plans to take south Florida by storm and their new way of interpreting Jazz.
